Cross Lapel Pins are Great for Fundraising
My church is always looking for new, inventive ways to
bring in money for needed supplies and fun community events. Part of our plan is
to partake in at least three separate fundraising campaigns each year. Sometimes
these campaigns are one-time fundraising events, while other times we will make
or find something to sell to raise funds.
This last fundraising campaign was focused on bringing in enough money to fix up
the playground on the church grounds, and to set up the Sunday School rooms for
our expanding youth members. After much consideration, the fundraising committee
decided on cross lapel pins that we would sell to members of our church, as well
as other community venues. They were really cute little pins and we liked the
idea that the youth members could get involved and help sell them throughout the
community.
The order price was so low that we were able to charge three times what we paid
for each cross lapel pin and still sell them at a price that was appealing to
everyone who purchased one. People loved them and some folks bought several at a
time, saying that they wanted them for themselves and to give as gifts.
This ended up being the best fundraiser we had all year and brought in the most
money. We were able to fix the playground and set up all of the Sunday School
rooms just from the money we made selling these cute cross lapel pins. In fact,
it was so successful that we are considering doing this same fundraising
campaign – complete with the cross lapel pins – again next year.
